Once you are in a batch, your online classes appear under Live Zoom classes in your menu with the next class, your batch and the class dates, and you join them from there. Courses held in person at a campus appear under On-campus classes.
Online classes
Step 1: Open Live Zoom classes and choose your class
View class opens the class's page; Open classroom takes you into its classroom.
Sign in to open this screenStep 2: Find the class
The curriculum lists the classes week by week. A week shows its topic when your instructor wrote one, for example Week 2: Topic.
Step 3: Wait for the class to open
Each class shows Upcoming, Opens soon, Live now, Replay, Ended or Cancelled. The join button usually opens 15 minutes before the start and stays open until 30 minutes after the end; your teacher can set different times.
Step 4: Choose Join class
In the classroom the class opens on Zoom inside the page; if it cannot, choose Open in Zoom. From the class's page it opens in a new tab. If you see The meeting link has not been configured yet, the class's Zoom meeting isn't ready; try again shortly.
Step 5: Watch the recording
A Zoom class is recorded, and the recording appears on the class by itself afterwards: Watch recording. It can take a while to show.
Only your own batch's classes can be joined. The page itself is described in Your live sessions page.
In-person classes
Your campus courses are listed under On-campus classes in the menu. In-person classes show the campus name, the venue (for example a lab or room) and the address instead of a join button, with the note Attend this class at the campus. Attendance is marked there. Arrive on time: attendance is marked in class by the teacher or the campus.
Make-up classes and recordings
- If a class cannot be held as planned (a holiday, a closure, the teacher is unwell), your instructor can schedule a make-up class online. It appears in the classroom on that class, with the new date and time and the reason.
- Join the make-up class turns on 15 minutes before it starts and stays until 30 minutes after it ends. This also applies to on-campus courses: the make-up class is held on Zoom.
- The recording of a Zoom class is added by itself after the class. At first it may open on Zoom's own site, with a passcode shown if one is needed; once it has been prepared it plays in the classroom.
- Your instructor can also add a class recording to any class, including an on-campus one. Choose Watch recording on that class in the classroom; an uploaded video plays there, a link to another site opens in a new tab.
- Attendance for a made-up class is marked by your teacher or campus, as for any other class.
How attendance is recorded
| Class type | How your attendance is recorded |

| Online, recording | Opening Watch recording is recorded too. |
| In person | The teacher or the campus marks you present, absent or left early for each class. |
Attendance marks
- JoinedYou pressed Join for the class. It shows you took part, but isn't yet a confirmed attendance.
- Present (attended)Confirmed attendance. This is the mark that counts towards a batch certificate.
- Left earlyYou joined but left before the end.
- Absent (missed)You weren't there.

Tips for class day
- Sign in a few minutes early and open the class when it shows Opens soon.
- If the class does not open inside the classroom, choose Open in Zoom. If a join button on the class's page seems to do nothing, allow pop-ups for the school's site.
- Use the same account you enrolled with; another account can't join.
- For in-person classes, check the room and the address before leaving. The class's page shows the campus on a map with Open in maps.
- Assignments, quizzes, materials and your certificate for an on-campus class are in the portal, even though the class itself is at the campus.

FAQ
Can I see my attendance record?
Yes. Open the course from Live Zoom classes or On-campus classes: the Attendance panel shows classes present, absent and held so far, and the On-campus classes list shows your attendance so far for each course. If you think a class was marked wrongly, tell your teacher or campus soon after the class.
The join button says the class is not open yet.
It opens shortly before the start time. Refresh the page when the class is due to begin.
I missed a class. What now?
Watch the recording once it appears on the class, and tell your teacher or campus if you had a good reason. Missing classes can put a batch certificate out of reach.
My internet dropped during the class.
Join again from the same class card while the join window is open.
