Classes of an on-site batch follow the course's plan: one class on every class day from the start date for the length of the course. When a day does not go as planned, change that one class rather than the whole batch. Open Batches, open the batch, and choose Change next to the class.

The four actions

ActionWhen it is offeredWhat happens

Attendance and certificates

  • A cancelled class has no register and is left out of the certificate base, so cancelling never pushes a student below the minimum.
  • A moved class keeps its register; marks are taken on the new day.
  • Restoring a cancelled class brings it back into the certificate base, so mark its attendance if it did take place.

FAQ

Can we add an extra class?

Not as a new class. Move an existing class, or ask NSDP if the course needs more classes.

How are students told?

Cancelling or moving a class emails every student holding a seat in the batch; their timetable shows the change straight away.

Do we have to mark every class as held?

No. Taking the register is enough. Mark as held is for a class you want recorded as having taken place.
