NSDP sets one fee for every recorded (self-paced) course: Rs 1,000 per month, times the months the course takes, paid in one payment at checkout. An instructor or a campus does not choose a price. You see the fee when you create the course and on its Pricing tab, and you cannot change it. The fee applies to new enrolments only; students already enrolled are never charged again.
The fee is set by NSDP
- On the New course page, the Pricing & certificate panel shows The fee is set by NSDP. The pricing choice and the Amount are filled in and locked.
- On the course's Pricing tab you see The fee is set by NSDP, not per course. and the price card your students will see. The cards are read-only: there is no Add a price, edit, remove or save.
- The page always shows the current fee. If NSDP changes the fee, the amount shown changes with it.
- An older course that still carries a different price is moved to the NSDP fee the next time you save the course.
- Live Zoom classes and on-campus courses have their own monthly fees, also set by NSDP. They are covered in their own guides.
Kinds of price (when editable)
A course can have several prices (also called checkout options), up to 20 and at least 1. The first price is the course's list price, shown in catalogues and first at checkout.
| Kind | What the student pays |
|---|---|
| Free | Nothing. Students enrol without paying. The amount must be 0. |
| One-time payment | One payment for access. |
| Installments | The amount each period (week, month or year) until all payments are made; 2–36 payments. The total is the amount × the number of installments. |
| Subscription | The amount every week, month or year. Access lasts one billing period and ends unless the next payment arrives. An optional free trial (0–365 days) can come first. |

The price and course review
Because the fee is fixed, an instructor or a campus has no price change to send for review. The fee goes live with the course once NSDP approves it. Your other edits to a live course still need Submit changes for review; see What happens when a course is sent for review.
Price and your earnings
Instructors earn a share of what students pay; see Teacher earnings and withdrawals. Campuses earn from in-person batch seats, not from recorded course prices.

FAQ
Why can't I change the price?
NSDP sets one fee for every recorded course, so the price is the same whoever teaches it. The New course page and the Pricing tab show the fee, but the fields are locked for instructors and campuses.
Can I make my course free or cheaper?
No. The fee is the same for every recorded course. Coupons and discounts are managed by NSDP.
Will students who already enrolled pay the new price?
No. Prices apply to new enrolments only.
My older course shows a different price. What happens to it?
It is moved to the NSDP fee the next time the course is saved. Students who already enrolled are not charged again.
Is the fee the same for live Zoom classes?
No. Live Zoom classes and on-campus courses have a monthly fee set by NSDP, multiplied by the months the class runs. See their own guides.
