Putting a teacher forward from your campus

How a campus proposes a teacher to NSDP: what to prepare, the five-step request, NSDP's review and interview, the emails you receive, and what happens when the teacher is approved.

A campus can't add teachers by itself. Instead you put a teacher forward: you send NSDP the candidate's details, NSDP checks them and usually interviews the candidate, and NSDP decides. Approved teachers get a teacher account and are linked to your campus.

Before you start

  • Have the candidate's CNIC, email address and phone number to hand. NSDP identifies the candidate by CNIC and email, and the email becomes their sign-in once approved, so use the candidate's own address.
  • Collect supporting documents: CNIC front and back, degree, experience letters, a CV and a photo. Upload each file (PDF, image or Word, up to 10 MB).
  • Ask one or two referees if NSDP may call them.
  • Set aside time to finish in one go: the form isn't saved as a draft.
  • A person already being processed by NSDP, already on the portal, or already put forward by your campus can't be put forward again. See Who can be put forward below.

Filling in the request

  1. Step 1: Candidate

Identity, contact and address. Name, email, CNIC, phone, province and city are required.

    Read the guide
  2. Step 2: Qualifications & experience

Highest qualification and years of experience are required. The optional professional summary (up to 300 characters) heads the candidate's card on your Teachers page.

    Read the guide
  3. Step 3: Subjects & availability

At least one subject and a teaching mode are required. Days and time slots are optional but help NSDP plan batches.

    Read the guide
  4. Step 4: Documents & references

All optional: online profiles, up to 15 documents and up to 5 referees.

    Read the guide
  5. Step 5: Review & send

Check every section, fix anything flagged, then press Put this teacher forward. Note the reference on the confirmation.

Every field, limit and error message is explained in The teacher request form, field by field.

Who can be put forward

  • Nobody else may have an open request for the same CNIC or email, whether from your campus, another request or the NSDP website.
  • The email must not already belong to an account on the portal. For an existing teacher, ask NSDP administration to link them to your campus instead.
  • If your campus's earlier request for the same person was rejected and can still be resubmitted, resubmit it instead of starting a new one.
  • If NSDP permanently rejected the person at your campus, they can't be put forward by your campus again.

After approval

  • NSDP emails the teacher a link to set their password. They sign in on the main sign-in page with the email on the request, using that password, a one-time email code, or Forgot password if the link has expired.
  • If the teacher's email couldn't be sent, the approval email to your campus says so and asks the teacher to use Forgot password on the teacher sign-in page.
  • The teacher appears under Approved teachers with the details from your request, and can be chosen as the teacher of your campus's on-site courses.
  • NSDP assigns teachers to in-person batches; being approved at your campus doesn't by itself place the teacher on a batch.

FAQ

It says I have already put this person forward.

An earlier request from your campus for the same CNIC or email is still with NSDP. Wait for its decision.

It says this person is being processed under another request.

Someone else (for example the candidate through the NSDP website) already has an open request for them. Contact NSDP.

It says the email already belongs to an account.

The person already has a portal account. Ask NSDP administration to assign them to your campus instead of putting them forward.

Can I withdraw a request?

Not from the portal. Contact NSDP with the reference if a request should be stopped.

How long does NSDP take?

The portal doesn't set a time. Complete documents that open without signing in, and a candidate who attends the interview, keep things moving.
